Haddie has helped greatly at the wat, at the small school, creating cross cultural activities and structures that will help the people of Isaan eventually learn English, computers, and about the similarities and differences between cultures. She is fantastic with a smile, laugh, easy way of getting along with others despite differences in ways, outlooks and culture.
Our volunteer Lloyd from Australia has returned this time to help the small rural school near Bueng Kan. The children ride by my home on bicycles shouting his name in a way that makes all realize that he must be doing great things by helping.
Kelly is now here after coming a long way from Vietnam to help by using her artistic and educational teaching skills. We are looking forward to having our welcome dinner with her and the rest of our Thai and western friends.
Heather has just joined Mundo to help write for children and adults who will be learning English through some of our projects. She has worked with other nonprofits and now is helping us.
Scott (aka Mouse), an international community development and IT professor is helping us learn how to bring our vision to others in many ways. He is also changing the website, visited Yoon and family. He may come soon to have his own celebration in Nong khai and Bueng Kan.
Melissa is helping Mundo by teaching writing to Thais with few skills in this area. She has devoted her time to help us and we have already observed the academic growth that she has taught through patience and cross cultural understanding.
Thank you to all. Cant believe the increased involvement and the caring that you all bring. Can believe. Think all people are good, just at times have to find their path to human understanding and social action. Shanti!
