If you're interested in a short or longer terms stay in a true Theravada Buddhist Monastery in Thailand, consider Wat Sri Boeng Ruang in Chiang Mai region. WSBR's Abbot is a young, dynamic English speaking monk who is sponsoring stays at his beautiful temple in the city of Fang. At WSBR resides two English speaking monks, Phra Fred, and Phra Greg, who teach, with experience, knowledge and wisdom, Vipassana and Dhamma. Men and women are welcome. Men who wish to stay long enough to consider temporary novice ordination are encouraged to visit. It's a once in a lifetime experience, in a very unique and "farang friendly" temple.

Hello! My name is Kathleen Snider and I am currently living and working at a mission in Santo Domingo. I decided to take a year off before heading to college at Marquette University next fall to volunteer and practice Spanish. I came across your blog and webpage and would be very interested in helping out for a few months if you are in need of volunteers. Feel free to pass my e-mail or phone number to anyone who would benefit. Thanks for your consideration!

Take care,
Kathleen Snider

Great work by great students and staff of OES and CG. Graduates Amy from OES and Evan from CG have both volunteered in Thailand with Mundo Exchange and had such great words for the global commitment to peaceful coexistence of the students, parents and staff. Hope to see you in Guatemala or maybe even Thailand
