What we do with your donations
MundoExchange recipients greatly appreciate the financial contributions they received from you, volunteers and others around the globe.
These projects and scholarships are only possible because of your donations and volunteer assistance. One of the most fundamental beliefs of MundoExchange is the method by which your financial contributions are invested directly and intelligently into important projects and the communities with which we work.
Through our collective life experiences in the non-profit sector, we believe deeply in not-for-profit work and we maintain financial integrity. Although we appreciate some local and international volunteer companies that are oriented towards turning profits, we remain strongly dedicated to only non-profit exchanges.
Your financial and volunteer contributions to MundoExchange, no matter how big or small, are directly invested into community development and important educational projects. This funding support is then consistently monitored with care.
Our scholarships often go to individuals who provide leadership and learning exchanges with others in the world and in their own communities. Their progress is also consistently monitored and written reports are required to prove that these recipients are actively involved in their own programs. For many years we have sponsored individuals around the world who are in dire need of financial assistance, are or will be inspiring leaders in their communities, and give back to their community and the world. We sponsor those who would otherwise not be able to attain their goals of further education and community service work. As part of our international exchange, they agree to volunteer themselves and be pro-active in their own communities.
Monitoring
MundoExchange monitors these exchanges, asks for verification of educational status, and keeps in direct contact with those we sponsor. This is a ‘pay it forward’ type of exchange where your financial contributions will help these individuals attain goals and dreams.
Currently MundoExchange and friends are primarily sponsoring individuals and groups in Thailand and Guatemala.
Please note that MundoExchange is filing for official 501(c)(3) status and your donations are tax-deductible. We are formed in the State of Oregon (USA).
We are a non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious organization.
Our assistance includes financial and training programs for communities in need, international volunteer cross-cultural programs, and occupational seminars.
Your assistance is appreciated greatly!

Hey you guys, the website is really starting to look good. I told Dalyn that we have been working hard on a brochure here in the States for Mundo and have done quite a bit of editing on some of the website language. If you would like to see that, let me know…I love all the new pictures and updates on how the volunteering is going. We had some very enthusiastic students from Clark College wanting to come and talk part with Mundo in Thailand. One of them, a young man named Joey, will be writing you with interest in the internship or volunteering. He seemed to have great energy and spirit and has done lots of wonderful work in Vancouver with youth. He is really interested in business/infrastructure development. Just wnated to let you know. Take care. Joan
Nicely done guys!
Hats off to you.

I was a guide/interpreter, resident in Guatemala for 9 years (1985-1994) before I moved back to El Salvador, now working in el Salvador on the ruta pazymemoria, cultural and ecotourism, restoration of villages and monuments damaged during El Salvador’s 12 year Civil War.
An article of mine on Cinquera, a village in Central America (one of
our pilot projects on Rural Ecotourism/Cultural & Historic sites here
in El Salvador) enjoy.
