DIGNITY
All world citizens have a right to a dignified life. Mundo Exchange believes that all people, no matter their lifestyles, economic standing, background, or circumstance, deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
JUSTICE & EQUALITY
All people have the right to adequate health care, nutrition, education, safe home environments, and equal opportunity. We at Mundo Exchange collaborate with local hospitals, village leaders, churches, and various other organizations and associations to empower women, educate children, build safer homes for families, and encourage environmentally friendly practices within communities.
EMPOWERMENT
We at Mundo Exchange support projects that are locally driven, culturally responsive, sustainable over time, and that ultimately build individual and community self-sufficiency and self-determination in order to enable them to represent their interests in a responsible and self-determined way, acting on their own authority. Our projects have included teaching English in rural schools while boosting children’s confidence, self-knowledge and self-esteem; partnering with social services to ensure women and children who are victims of domestic violence have a to safe space to rebuild their lives and find their voice; collaborating with local hospital staff to help make medical care accessible to the poorest and most marginalized; and partnering with local farmers to teach community members how to grow their own nutritious foods.
